Greetings from Randy and Lou Ellen Romrell

March 26, 2014

Dear friends,
Many of you said you were interested in following our mission activities in Cuiaba, Brazil.  We have created this blog to stay connected with you, and we look forward to reading your posts.  We will try to make our posts interesting.

Remember, we were scheduled to begin our mission on January 27?  Due to visa delays (a blessing in disguise) we are still in Salt Lake City.  That's a blessing, because our oldest daughter, Natalie, will be married on May 2 to Scott Jennings, father of Wyatt (12), Chloe (10), Kelli (7) and Lyndsie ( ).  We couldn't be happier.

Here are our new dates:

  • Speak in our church Sacrament Meeting April 27 at 1:00, chapel located in East Mill Creek, 3750 South Hillside Lane, Salt Lake City, Utah 84109 (all invited)
  • Wedding on May 2
  • Enter the Mission Training Center in Provo, Utah, May 12
  • Fly to Brazil, May 19

In the meantime, we are still working hard on the language (with a language specialist, a tutor, and study buddies, all provided by the church) and getting our personal affairs in order.

We are learning more about Mato Grosso and Mato Grosso do Sul every day.  Here is today's weather report in Cuiabá - Mato Grosso, Brazil:
